07.07.10 471,537 passengers in June in Brussels South Charleroi Airport, an increase of 37%!
Brussels South Charleroi registered 471,537 passengers in June, which is a growth of 37% compared to the same period last year.
This growth can mainly be explained by the launch of 16 new routes this summer including to Heraklion, Fuerteventura, Ibiza, Algeria, Kaunas, Istanbul, Rhodes, Antalya and Zadar. Also, the increase in flight frequency to 19 destinations including Budapest, Casablanca, Carcassonne and Figari, contributed to this success.
The number of destinations from the airport continues to grow. New routes starting this winter season have already been planned. Jetairfly is launching a new route to Toulon from 29 October. This increases the number of Jetairfly 's destinations from the airport to 16. The flight frequencies on routes to Tenerife this winter will also be increased from 3 to 4 flights per week. Starting from November, Ryanair will fly to Gothenburg, Lappareente (Finland) and Verona.
