Protection of the environnent and quality of life are central to the development of Charleroi Brussels South airport.

The airport is essentially a “day” airport. This means that only aircraft based here are allowed to land after 11pm.

Over the years, much effort has been made for the neighbours. SOWAER (Société wallonne des aéroports) has set up a large house soundproofing programme for those living in the vicinity of the airport.
